U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump holds his bible while speaking at the Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition Forum in Des Moines

I feel it, he was thinking. I do indeed truly feel it.
Whatever people said and thought about him, however the heathen raged, this was the very inescapable “why” of why he was in the world and why he had been raised up from a life of poverty and physical abuse to the wealth of mighty kings ten times over. Yes, he had been selected, chosen and blessed by the Holy Spirit. And those blessings were not only blessings of the soul, but blessings of the Lord’s abundant generosity, blessings toward which the faithful flock could, should, and would quite properly strive, each and every one. Investments, bank accounts, successful businesses, powers of office, and the material comforts of expensive homes and luxury cars were nothing less than the good intentions of a generous and loving Lord made manifest in the lives of His most faithful and deserving servants.
The knowledge of that certainty gave Pastor Blanton confidence and serenity passing that of any wretched earthly prince. And at this very moment, the fuse was lit. Pastor Garland Blanton felt the Spirit of the Lord rising from deep within him, and he knew that It was truly the Holy Spirit in him, speaking through him, commanding him. Because when It spoke through him, It confirmed absolutely everything that he himself thought was right and Holy and true! He and the Lord agreed! There was no daylight between him and the Lord! How could anything he said not be true?
“I want to tell you something,” he said and closed his eyes.
